Easy flan recipe
First recipe
As it usually happens with many deserts and dishes, there are several different flan recipes, and you might have to try and test until you find the one you like the most. Here we will share a couple easy ones with you.
For this first flan recipe you will need the following ingredients: 6 eggs, 1 liter milk, 2 teaspoons vanilla essence, and 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar.
How to make it?: First you should make the caramel which will cover flan. Put 50 grams of sugar and a bit of water in a rounded oven pan, ideally a flan pan, and put it over fire until the sugar melts and goes brown forming caramel. Then let it cool down.
Mix the milk, the sugar, and some vanilla essence. Then add the eggs beating until they mix, and put the mixture in the flan pan over the caramel. Put the pan in the oven with the fire set to medium. It will be ready when you can introduce a knife in it and it comes out clean. Let it cool down and then put it in the fridge until is very cold.
Second recipe
For this recipe you will need the following ingredients: 1/2 liter milk, 4 eggs, 200 grams of sugar, and vanilla essence.
How to make it?: First, prepare caramel in a flan pan as explained in the previous recipe. Then boil the milk with some vanilla essence, and in other recipient beat the eggs and mix them with the sugar. Add the milk with vanilla to the eggs with sugar, and put this mixture in the flan pan over the caramel. Put the flan pan over a bigger pan with water (the water should cover about ½ of the exterior side of the flan pan). Take to the oven with the fire set to medium. You will know it is ready when you put a knife in it and comes out clean. It must be eaten cold.
